1988 D Jefferson Nickel?

    Not sure about this Jefferson Nickel? The front around the rim and obverse looks like it wasn't all the way pressed. Not sure what it's called as I'm still learning!

    The Upraised Rim is actually created before the Nickel is struck on both sides. I see it looks normal on the Reverse. So what occurred on the Obverse is some kind of wear that happened after it left the US Mint. How? Only the person that did it would know.

    I also see that the Monticello Building has been worn down also.
