You sound like a kid who's about to try on his first pair of long pants. Settle down. Nobody in their right mind is going to pay you anything extra if it's not there. And anyway, it is there.
Sorry about the excitement level! Never found four supposed rare coins in a single roll before. If indeed these are the real deal?
I just figured since the subject was "missing initials", it would be a good place to ask/share. Trying to be thoughtful...but I appreciate your input. Nobody responded so maybe the "sages," didn't see it, or thought I should start my own thread.
These forums are priceless. Coin people are blunt....lol
No problem... I'm also learning about different errors and coin grading. I'm thinking about taking the numismatics courses at the ANA. PCGF also has some free grading courses, which I'm finding to be very cool. Eventually maybe I'll be able to answer some questions too. We're all learning...and there's always new things to learn. (Like being nice...) lol (Now I'm incorporating my sense of humor too.)
Yes, you'll find some of the old timers can be rude...I use the ignore on those. There's a few that seems to have settled home here and they seem to have gotten tired of newbies asking questions lol. But really, there are serious knowledge in these forums, and most are nice and really want to help out newcomers to this coin hobby. They know it only helps the coin community if they're encouraging...it helps grow the community.
Thank you JayF, I imagine that they would get tired of seeing the same types of errors over and over again, and having to tell people that it's not what they think it is can get a little trying.
I love collecting and searching coins, and I agree, these forums are valuable and helpful.
PS: please make sure you thank these guys for helping you out! They're doing it simply for the love of the hobby and to get a chance to be the first to spot major error (maybe?) And whatever feedback you get, don't be rude or argumentative about it. You asked for their feedback and youre getting it, even though it might not be what you wished. Be nice and always say thanks!
). As always thanks!
