1988 Cent with medal strands from it's nose

    Hey everyone, this does look like an error from when it was created at the mint.
    I could be wrong, but I don't see how that could have been implanted after it's creation.
    But you guys would know better than me, so what do you think?
    Sorry if the picture isn't clear enough....I am still trying to find my microscopes, and I am starting to believe they will not expose themself s until I go buy a new microscope,

    If there are any raised lines along that line it’s PMD. If the edges of the groove are as flat as the field of the coin then it’s a strike through. I can’t tell from these photos.

    Minted in 1988 says it all. Lousy Zincoln with plating issues. JMO
