I have a 1988 A dollar bill with part of the ink on the back of the dollar sinking through to the front. Is it an error with any value? Thanks!

If you mean the E coming thru to the front, I really don't think so. Lets hear from someone else.

Alex, I don't believe that the ink on the back being seen on the front would be considered an error. It would be an example of high embossing from the letter and not an overinking error.

Simply put: No. It is extremely common, even on newer bills. It's still 1988A though hehe:smile

If anyone was wondering what camera I'm using, it's the Olympus D-510 Zoom 2.1 megapixel camera
