I see double because the picture is blurry. New pic please. and the correct terminology is Doubled Die.
That is actually how the coin looks, but i cant take better pic right now.. Its not "doublied die" but much better, you'll see it soon enough
I see post mint damage from wear and tear from being in circulation. What are we suppose to be seeing? I must be missing it. ????
There is several raised letters on the front and back, various positions.. Look under e pluribus, to the right of dollar, on the bird. Also the background is missing through quarter dollar and up top on reverse
If you want to see things, you can see almost anything you want. Just looks like environmental damage and staining.
Well circulated quarter, looks like it may have been struck from dies that were beginning to fail, nothing else out of the ordinary.
Looks link Mint Pareidolia !! Looks like normal circulation damage, staining, etc to me .. similar to your Louisiana quarter. "Different" usually means damage. Maybe you should check and catalog your change for 3 months to start seeing the trends and see what damage is. Rather than think everything is a mint error. Also read up on the minting process so you understand it, and know letters just are not randomly stamped all over the place. Think about any other manufacturing process where they stamp stuff out .. car parts, etc .. do designs randomly miraculously appear on things ? if your car gets scratched, was it done before or after painting, or maybe it was done in manufacturing and the paint didn't adhere to the scratch? Think of the odds of that and how much more that car would be worth.
Yeah i geuss it couldnt be an atypical die clash or printed over another coin, thanks for pointing the paint story out.. You changed my life
