I have a 1987 P Washington Quarter missing the the word dollar in quarter dollar, also missing leaves closest to the word dollar.
Pictures would be nice, but in their absence, it is probably a grease filled die which is not uncommon and no premium.
It looks like a filled die error. Filled dies are common. This is a little more interesting because the DOLLAR is missing. Based on the condition of the coin, I don't think it carries any premium over face value, but I would keep it if I got it in change.
Thank you for your post ! I'm kind of a noob in the collecting of coins so any insight is appreciated by all means.
