In the 3rd and 4th column openings and the far right ones there appears to be die chips or die clash. I'd like some opinions please. 1987 P Die Clash Close Up.jpg 1987 P Die Clash Full Shot.jpg

Yep, it's a die clash. How does the Obv. look?

I guess I'm just blind. I don't see a clash. There's no telling what can happen to a Zincoln in circulation.

I'm looking between the columns to the left. There are raised indications that look like more than die chips. There are some on the right also. Looking for some comments and opinions. Thanks for looking.

It's not rare but not uncommon.

Thanks. I do look for rare as anyone would, but, I like any anomaly and keep them.

This is another type of clash you want to look for on the shield cents..

I started looking through a mint roll of 2017 P. I found that all the coins in that mint roll have the same feature at the top of Lincolns head just under WE. I don't know what it is. It appears to me that it is a high spot in the design that was making contact with other coins in the roll. Or, some other damage to the die. 2017 P Die Mark Obv 1.jpg 2017 P Die Mark Obv 2.jpg

You mean this thing? I really don't know what it is or what causes it. I don't know if it's a die issue or PMD. I do know I see a lot of it on these cents and it's apparently very common.

It was on each of the coins in a mint roll of 2017 P. It looks like it might be a high spot in the design that gets abrasion from other coins.

I don't know, you got me. Maybe a die issue or maybe from the coin rolling/wrapping machine. I can't see abrasion coming from other coins if they are in new mint rolls.

    Others will chime in here.
