I found this 1987 lincoln yesterday with a crack running around the edge of the coin on both sides? I believe it’s called a planchet error? Thoughts please! Tks
I think what you are seeing is a ridge ring caused by a worn/deteriorating die. They only appear on zincolns from 1982 onwards. 1987 is very common for these. IMO
