I have a 1987 Canadian $100 gold coin without the letter edging commerorating the 1988 olympics, does anyone know how much it's worth now?
I know it doesn't have the letter edging because I have another 1987 with the lettering on the edge.

    Thanks,
    Keith

    Thanks Kirkuleez, it was interesting.
However, I'm looking more to get an idea of the value of the error coin. I have a good idea of the regular 1987 coin. But the error coin seems to be pretty rare and I'm trying to get an approximate value.
    I appreciate the link though

    Thank you,
    Keith

Sorry, I should have read the article a little more carefully. In the article he is describing the silver coins as having missing edge lettering. Interestingly, he says that no gold coins have been discovered with the missing edge lettering. You should consider sending it to PCGS, they may classify it as a discovery coin if no others have been found.
