No, it doesn't exist. The last copper cent was made in 1982.

I’m using a 1973 penny for weight. It seems to even out every time.

Your makeshift scale is not an accurate device. Many coins especially copper plated cents have a +/- weight variance.
Please get a real gram scale. You will drive yourself crazy with thinking post 1982 Cents are Copper!

There are plating blisters on the cent in question. This should have been the first clue.

Did you weigh both rubber bands? I have another question about the sticks that you banded together. It looks like they are pointed on one end and cut straight on the other end. Did you weigh each end?

What he said. Gram scale, not weird bamboo skewer seesaw.

Yeesh, I see now that I'm replying to a two year old resurrected thread that the previous respondent dug up somewhere.

Pictures or your coin does not exist.
You have to show it on a gram scale showing the weight.

None currently known, if a calibrated gram scale accurate to two decimal places confirms this weight it would then be a prime candidate for professional certification because if real would be worth significant money.

The only way to prove it and be able v to sell it, is to have it authenticated by a TPG such as PCGS or NGC. It will cost about $60 or more. Since the odds have you having one are higher than winning the power ball lotto, getting an ACCURATE weight to at least 2 digits, and posting a cropped and focused pic will help experienced members advise you.

    First, welcome to the neighborhood!

How much does your penny weigh? Please start a new thread and post a photo of it on a scale that shows the weight to at least two decimal places (3.xx).

By any chance, do you play pro basketball?

Why is my 1987 d green if it has little copper

Duh, which way did he go, which way did he go. I haven't seen it either. Must be in the next post. I will hold my breath.

A picture might help. Might be the '87-D "Green Hornet." While I've never seen one, I've heard this about them: (1) they're very, very green and (2) they've nothing to do with hornets. But that's how you tell them apart from normal '87-Ds.
