Noticed while going through some change that there is a difference in the location of the Philadelphia mint mark on (at least some) 1986-P Jeffersons. I cannot find anything in my book(s) indicating that there was a difference. Has anyone noticed this or is this a mint error?
It's common, just a mark of different dies being used. Mint marks were punched into the dies by hand, so they are not always in the same place.
