    Hi everyone,

I'm still sorting through my massive pile of "whatsits" after searching through an insane amount of pennies within the past 6 months. I came across this one again tonight and would like some opinions on this coin.

Do you think this is PMD or a possible case of struck through foreign object? In my opinion it looks like a pretty clean indentation and I'm not seeing the metal that I think would be displaced from a hit of this size. I've only been in the hobby actively for like 8 months though and still have a lot to learn.

I posted a coin here a few months ago with a similar mark that had mixed reactions with some members saying PMD and another thinking strike through. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Here are a couple of images from my 2018 LMC I previously posted that I referenced in my initial post. Though 32 years apart in age, I think there are similarities in the marks.

Perhaps this is some sort of exquisite PMD, I don't know. Maybe they are both genuine struck through errors and its from some sort of common debris in the mint, I don't know. If I could get any opinions from you more experienced collectors that would be awesome.
