Okay! I'm going to put you on the spot. If you think this is an error, what is it called and what caused it? Chris
I'm just having fun going through my Penny's & looking. Could it be a die error? I didn't mean to be problem if I'm causing one. I'm just having fun posting. Don't put me on the spot.
Anecdote When little Johnny finally got his driver license, his Dad bought him a used car. Every few months, Dad would change the oil for Johnny. A few years later, Johnny moved away to college, taking his car with him. After the first couple of months, the engine blew because Johnny never bothered to change the oil. Of course I'm going to put you on the spot. How else are you going to learn? Chris PS. You're not being a problem!
I found a 1989 Penny. I believe I can see the imprint of the reverse trying to show. Is it okay for me to show a couple of shots?
Here's the 1989 Penny that I was talking about. Looks like it shows an impression of the reverse on the obverse.
okay: coin 1: crud. #2: Clashed die. Not as strong as some, but not bad. Value? To you priceless, as your first find.
