1986 D Penny

    I have a 1986 D penny that has more of a flat finish to it and has what looks to be a double date and mint mark. The pic with two pennies side by side is to compare the shiny penny (left) to the flat penny (right). Any information you can offer will be appreciated much. Thanks.     You are just seeing a coin that has circulated differently, and the doubling you see is offset die deterioration doubling.

    non cents is right. I do like the look of this coin. I'd buy it... Maybe I should actually look at my pennies that arent pre 82

    It does look real nice. I think i'll throw it in my pile of "keep for fun".
