1986-D mintmark rotated CW

    Can you explain your title.. What do you mean by CW? clockwise?
    I don't see any rotation. Just a slight shift to the right.

    You will find a lot of mintmarks that are rotated a bit. It's common.

    Weren't the mintmarks punched by hand until 1990?

    I believe you are right. The MM were punched into the dies by hand before 1990

    I think I have 10 or more die positions documented for the 88D
