1986 D error penny

    I know lots of people have the same errors with the S and O barely visible in STATES OF (which mine also has) but does anyone also have a extra mini looking D underneath the U in TRUST? Like right out from where his hairline and forehead meet? Sorry hard to explain!

    Looks like a plating blister, very common on the copper coated zinc cents.

    It appears to be as stated plating blister also it might help in the future when you post your coins, if you could crop out all background it would help.JMO

    Yes to plating blister or bubble. Not a Mint mark.
