Here;s a very strange 1985D cent that i came across in circulation . The coin has three craters on the obverse ,and three on the reverse. The cent has some pitting also on the fields and the pitting is also present within each crater The date has been partially taken out. I do not believe this is post damage, because of the pitting within in the craters the pitting woukld not be there . I would like to know what you think of this cent error or what.

I think that you have: 1985D cent with three to four craters on both sides of coin.

    post mint damage.

Is is a possiblity that they are strike throughs. i just don't understand why there would be pitting in the craters it doesn't make sense to me if iy was post mint damage the pitting wouldn't be there. i don't want to be a pain in the ,can;t say it here.oh well don't mind me. i just have to analize this one a little further.
