    It has been in circulation for about 32 years. Just imagine if you owned a car for 32 years and never gave it a wash & wax during that entire time. What do you think it would look like?

    Could also be exposure to the elements. Known as Environmental Damage. I find brown Quarters all the time when I metal Detect.
