Ok for those who are tired of looking at Lincolns here is a 1985 P Dime I need help with. I'm going to assume its DDD and PMD but I wanted to ask opinions about it. The N, WE of INWT looks off and there is some thickness, the ear doesnt look right and the area of the hairline running along liberty there is some raised lines. 85dime1.jpg 85dime2.jpg 85dime3.jpg 85dime4.jpg

To me that is circulation wear. The Dime has the smallest lettering of all the other US coins so they tend to get a bit out of shape when time passes by. Not sure about the other issues you see. I say overall.. wear and tear due to 31 years of circulation.

    cpm9ball CANNOT RE-MEMBER

All of the striations that radiate outward toward the rim are a sign of die deterioration.

I agree, the dies were in the later stages of their life when this coin was struck. Sure gives it an interesting looking texture.
