I was online and currently I found this 1985 P distorted doubling absolutely Flawless cherry red and I saw that one sold for $5,000 could this be true
What do you mean by distorted double? I never heard of that.. Your Cent looks like a normal strike with a bit of Die Deterioration, plating blisters and a few hits on the bust and rim. Your Cent is not flawless and please don't use the word "Cherry Red".. not allowed in numismatic talk
The terms I'm using our what I'm hearing on YouTube I'm sorry for repeating what I hear I use my own terms Wicked red
I have watched the coin videos on Youtube. Many of those people don't have a clue what they are talking about. They are just novices who think they know. Descriptions and coin terminology are wrong, prices are wrong. I don't recommend them. But this is my opinion.
I know u are correct exactly but other than than cointalk is all i got im disabled so internet for now is all i got
What is the old saying?.. believe nothing that you hear and only half of what you see. I apply that to youtube when it comes to coins.
Paddy I believe what he is trying to say is distorted hub doubling, it is a class of doubled die. Frankly I don't see it.
