Hello everyone, I have two double die cracked coins. Probably nothing to write home about, but the first of these i have seen. i found them in two separate roles. I have only loaded pictures of one coin. if you want I can load the others pictures in another thread. Regards, Stan
I titled it incorrectly, should have said Die Cracked X2. I have never seen a coin with more then one die crack. is that as common? Regards, Stan
They're fairly common, especially right in those areas, as well as the top 2 corners of the memorial. Sometimes you will see one that looks like Lincoln has turned the memorial into a porch swing.
Z, Thanks, I thought so but one never knows. I am going to try to get a set say from19070 to 1990 together of these with the one an two die cracks. I have found quite a few in short time. Regards, Stan
Why stop at 1990? Bring them up to date. I just found a 2010P with 2 cracks in Lincoln's head, a nice one running up his bust, and one running horizontally through the VDB, as well as a small crack on the reverse through the right side of the shield. They may not be worth anything, but they're still cool to find!
