1985 D RPM... Can't find on coppercoins

All -

Going through my cent roll hunt results, taking a look at the Ds. Came across this guy, which doesn't seem to match anything I can find. I see a split serif, esp south (images attached) but can't find anuthing like it.

Help please- am I just hoping too much, or is this something?

I suspect it was caused by damage. I can see a lighter area that leads into this serif that indicates a 'force' pushed on the corner. I can't see any other area of the mm that would indicate a repunch.

 

I don't see an RPM either.
