1985 D penny

Hello everybody. I found this 85 penny CRH. Can you guys tell me if this is an ERROR penny?. Its a BEAUTIFUL coin. If it is an ERROR. Your thoughts on having it graded. Thank you in advance.

Just a worn die strike. Not worth having it graded.

 

The ridge ring and the kind of doubling on the date and mint mark usually indicate the coin was struck by a worn die. Die deterioration doubling adds no value to the coin.

 

He's probably reffering to the ridge ring going through IGWT.. Evidence of an overused die.

 

All three. A moment ago. What a coincidence. lol
