I just discovered a 1985 D Lincoln cent with dots between In God We Trust. I was just wondering if this is considered clash? They are very prominent between the first two words.

A 1985 is a Copper Plated Zinc Cent. These tend to have plating issues that occur after it leaves the US Mint. So they most likely are plating bubbles not Dots.

I think Dots is a reference used on Canadian Cents.

I was wondering. Had never seen it and they are perfectly centered between the words as to separate them like in E PLURIBUS UNUM. You can barely make out UNITED STATES OF AMERICA behind the IN GOD WE TRUST AS WELL. Thanks for the reply. Definitely check into the gas bubble
