Hello there! Not only am I new to the forum, but also new to coin collecting! I recently found this dime in a roll that I was picking through, and subsequently tossed it into a pile of already searched coins because I thought it was marked all over by a sharpie. On second sight, amongst the darkness I noticed that "LIBERTY", the date, and Roosevelt's head (also when I turn the dime at an angle, there's a sheen that is reminiscent of oil being washed down in a parking lot by a light rain) are a coppery color, while the reverse side also has a coppery color to the detailed parts of the coin. What would cause this? Could this be a mint error? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you in advance!
