Hey all, Wondering if I should keep this note? it does have a pretty nasty tear near the top right "1" (which you cant see in the scan)
lol never mind... i couldn't read the date in the image dont spend it please. 1985 notes are very hard to find in circulation. If you wish to get rid of it... pm me
I'd hang onto it because its only $1 and its an older note. Any note older than 1995 ends up in the shredder. But, I like having a variety of series bills because I like bills with different signatures (maybe I'm weird :secret.
your not weird RichieB16, not at all. Over the last couple years, i routinely go to the bank to buy a stack of $1 notes to go through. I try to pull notes 1- that are older then 1995 - anything older goes into my 'boxes'. 2- any crisp note from 1995, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2003a or 2006. 3- any note from a known short print run or tough district and 4- i try to get notes from each district from each series. 99% of all the notes in my 'boxes' are circulation finds. 100's of stars, several web-notes, and almost complete district sets going back to the early 80's. Prior to that, i have notes from every series, but am a far cry away from complete sets there. So, to make a long story shorter ... so you collect series and signatures? I dont think a single person here will call you crazy why? 'cause we ALL collect what and how we like! SO .. CARRY ON :d
I'll be sending it to Daggar. It actually doesnt look as bad in person. For some reason on worn notes, the scans make it look a bit worse. lol
NAIL NAIL NAIL .. oh, wait... Hey any $1 note older then 1995, always think of me its the higher denoms i have no money for lol i just spent a ton of $$$$ fixing my home pc (and yes, this is the very first site i visited after hooking it all back up ) so any money i MIGHT have been able to weasle out to spend on coins/currency ... well, it dried up lol
