1984 Lincoln Die Crack

    image.jpg Found this last week. I had posted about Lincoln having crazy hair but didn't mention about the die crack, that I can remember. It runs from the rim and through his head. There are parts of his hair that are hardly noticeable.

    It's hard for me to tell if it is a crack or a gouge. Can you give us a close-up where it crosses the "E"?

    Thanks! I can just barely see where the crack goes through the "E". If it did not, I would think it would be a gouge, but since it does, it is a nice example of a die crack with substantial metal displacement. Thanks again!
