Looks like a nice cent...well preserved. But it might just be a bit of MD in that area. Quite common for cents for that date...or maybe it seems that way since collectors know to look there. A crisper photo of the ear would allow members to dial in a response for you.
As noted by your fellow enthusiasts, not a DDO this time...but still a nice specimen. Lots of folks will see MD in that area and it'll spur a moment of excitement, but quite common to find it there.
