1984 D Penny

    I have a 1984 D Penny that is silverish in color except for around the details. It also has what looks like a shadow of a 3 under the 84 in the year. You can see it plain as day without a loop. However, when I use the loop, it looks like a shadow. Any ideas?

    this looks like a copper plating problem.
