Hello. I have several pennies like this. They look very orange but with the dark in various areas on the obverse and reverse. what causes this type of look to occur? Is it that someone cleaned them with something particular? I have looked everywhere for others that look like these, and can't find them (or maybe I am missing the obvious?). Thank you.

Abrasion on a darkly toned coin.

^This. Look at the scratches in the lighter fields, proof of the abrasion.
