I have never encountered this before in all the years Iv'e been collecting. I don't even know if I can consider this is an error but it sure looks like one. I'm an error colecter an i have no idea what caused this strange one. The letters sre running on the rim of the coin on only the (United States) of America. So if any body has any clue on this please let me Know what you think it is. Much apprecieted. This is an 84 cent there was no need to post the obverse was normal Jazzcoins Joe:goofer:
As CaptainKirk said, the coin was struck by a worn die. Mushy letters that blend into the rim are one symptom.
