    It is just in a 2x2 holder, is it worth pulling out for a better look?

    Looks like split-plating. Don't bother taking it out.

    The discolored spot is the holder glare, I thought it looked similar to the OMM but cant get a better shot through the holder.

    I don't believe there is an OMM listed for 1983-S. There is an RPM, but your coin isn't it.
