1983-P reverse: diagonal column through bay 3 and 4?

    There appears to be a diagonal cud, column, something from NW to SE in bay 3 through 4. Also likely just a gas bubble above Lincoln's head in the memorial. 1983p-rev-bay3-01.png 1983p-rev-bay3-02.png Input?

    (Did my best with an iPhone 4 and 10x loupe.)

    It's impossible to tell from this photo, but it is definitely not a cud. A cud is a break along the rim that extends into the field.

    Thanks Chris, Menace, and Ken. The overlay makes it obvious. Though the "older" overlay seems to fit better. Either way, you nailed it.

    if you read on that site you'll see that most clashes are not perfectly aligned as the dies will be out of adjustment to create a clash...
