1983 P Quarter Obverse Double Die?

Discussion in 'Error Coins' started by BridgeTroubledwaters, Jul 20, 2018.

  1. I need help with this coin. Is the mark near the edge indicative of a double die? It looks like there is a "false start" of the ridges located just a little inside the face of the coin. Any thoughts of how this might have happened?

By the way.. I know that you are new to this.. The correct numismatic terminology is actually a Doubled Die.. not double die. Big difference.

  7. By the way, collar clashes don't happen to have any value do they?
