I got this 1983 "Extra Letters" (CLO-002) today. Rather interesting, there seems to be clash remnants all over the obverse. Now I just need the elusive CLO-001...

I guess I should add, for those who don't know, this is thought to be a Counter Clash, where a scrap of metal was sunk into the die once, receiving a impression of IN GO, then shifted and was struck agin, this time it damaged the die and left a light impression of IN GO below IN GOD.

Thanks it is a interesting error/variety. Looks like a mint employee tried to polish off the clash marks and left a mess of die scratches...

I like the specimen a very strange one indeed with alot of straition marks.

Were you indicated arrows near the shirt of lincoln those look like die trails but not sure the liberty mark looks like a small die crack. I do also see the remnants of a die clash too.

It is a bizarre coin. From pictures I have seen, I was like, "how is that possible?" now that I can see it in person, I think it is even stranger...
