    Looks to be a cud. Though in general cuds are found on the rim of the coin so a die chip may be the correct term

    this is a clashed die coin.

    Except that sorta looking clash mark usually shows up in the third bay, not the fourth.
    I think it's PMD.

    Sorry, Rascal, it's NOT a clash.
    As soon as you opine that anything is a die clash, I know for sure that it isn't, with absolutely no question in my mind.
    It's already been proven to us, many times, that you can't identify a coin struck by clashed dies.

    sorry but you are wrong again . don't give up and keep trying to identify these errors for the folks.When you do I will congratulate you the way you did for me not long ago when I got one right. these clash marks are always in the fourth bay and not the third like you said . this is the back of Lincoln's neck from the obverse die.the back of Lincoln's neck is directly opposite of the fourth bay, this is the reason it appears there. if you would have taken the time to look at the obverse you could have seen part of one of the pillars at the back of the neck area.

    If that is a clash, it is so deep that the clash would appear everywhere else on the coin. That lump is higher than the column. Unless it is a foreign substance, it is from a chipped die. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it!

    BTW: I do not remember ever congratulating you on anything, for I've never had a reason.

    I don't pay much attention to you people wasting space on the internet arguing, but I seem to remember you saying something like:

    :hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail:
    :thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:Rascal finally got one right!:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:
    :hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail::hail:

    On some thread or another.

    To me it almost seemed like a lamination error in the making, with that one elevated part. It just looks like its peeling to me. And as my last word on this thread about you going back and forth, and not only who I am calling out, it sickens me to think that you can not just let opinions be opinions and have to argue till you think you have won or convinced the other of your opinion. We are here to help each other, not patronize! I apologize for wasting more space on the internet on this topic.

    You are welcome and if you have some more you want to show put them on here and someone will try to help you to identify what you have. your coin is definately from a clashed die and this is caused when the coin dies clash together without a planchet in between them. it is metal to metal contact and a part of the design is transferred from one die to the other die. look inside of the third bay from the right side of your coin and you can also see a small part of the front of Lincoln's neck.
