I am new to looking for double die errors in pennies...
and I found online that there was a mention of 1983 double die reverse penny error.

I found this penny (picture attached) where the lettering looked a little thicker than the other pennies

and the scanner picked up what looks like doubling around "United" and "oF"...
I was curious if this really is an error penny or not...?

A doubled die would show on more than just the areas pointed out. Could be light mechanical doubling, but it does not appear to be a doubled die reverse.
    Keep up the hunt!
