Hey all I wanted to share something I found tonight. My usb scope has about had it but I think you will be able to see the doubled die with these pics and if not I think you will see the die markers for it. For those that use their phones this post has about 13 photo's so be warned. This coin is on variety vista listed as stage c DDR-002. I'm happy to find something more than PMD after the last couple weeks I've had. The obverse has heavy die scratches and needs a acetone bath but otherwise it's not in bad condition. 1983ddo1.jpg 1983ddo2.jpg 1983ddo3.jpg 1983ddo4.jpg 1983ddo5.jpg 1983ddo6.jpg 1983ddo7.jpg 1983ddo8.jpg 1983ddo9.jpg 1983ddo10.jpg

I am in with a later die stage than either of them. The FG is almost abraded away.

Coneca listing only has a die crack on the memorial .
If you look at wexler, there's die cracks on either side of the memorial base .

As Rick pointed out . and the polishing lines above liberty, are the only two markers that I can see that match. It looks like the clash is there also. @Rick Stachowski do you think that the die scratches between C and E are abraded away?

I wasn't disagreeing, I was only stating that the die states don't seem to match. On wddr-003 the die scratches run from sse to nnw.
The lighting may not be catching them in the photo.

Is there somewhere that has a visual reference of later die state's so I can figure out which this one is? The only one i have found only lists up to ddr-03

Wexler doesn't give die stages. Stage is the deterioration of the die.
Variety vista is the only one that I know of.
Unless Rick doesn't concur I would think that yours is a stage D extremely late.

Like Pickin and Grinin said, it's a extremely late die state .
John only has the one die state showing on his site .
If you send it to john, he will list a new die state on his site for this DDR .
