1983 DDO?

    is this a 1983 DDO? I see no ramp in the doubling.

    MD. See how skinny it makes the vertical bar of the Y. It takes away from the devices.

    does the thinkness matter on a DD?

    A doubled die can't make the thickness less, only MD can, because a true DD, each die impression should be at the same level and be total thickness of "thickness of a non-DD" + thickness of the amount of doubling by the doubled die portion added.

    Multiple hubbings will never take away from the thickness of the letters...it can only add to it. Your coin shows mechanical doubling.
