1983 d over date penny

    Is this mint mark over date and it looks like the 9 is doubled..please help identify if valuable. IMG_2019-01-16_09-50-04.jpg

    It is just a zinc plating blister/bubble which has the zinc underneath it corroding.
    If you watch enough pennies you will see a lot of this from the 1982 year through today.

    I do understand what you mean when you say plating blisters are common, really I do, but I myself VERY seldom run across any of them. But then I don't routinely get change that has been in horrible environments either.
