    It's really hard to see what's going on here. The coin is obviously damaged. Sorry . :(
    On the other hand, can you provide another photo ( clearer) ?

    or possibly the "curse of the copper plating Zinc" causing a disruption in the copper coating due to moisture exposure from the elements IMO

    note the "boil" on the back of his neck, and the pimple on his forehead, and the T with a blotch on it. yeah Zincoln strikes again. Keep looking you'll find a good coin eventually.

    It’s a zinc cent and I think what you see to the right of the mint mark is either damage or a zinc bubble that popped.
