    They say this is a great find... It feels to good to be true.....it weighs 3.0 I have about 20 83 penny's and only 1 weighs this amount.... Opinions please and if you think it is worth it .. Where do I go what are the steps to get paid .....

    My opinion is that the coin on the scale and the other coins are clearly different.

    If it's actually copper it has a lot of value. It would be 10 to 15K. I don't think that is what you have. I'm not sure if one with the D mintmark has ever been found.

    There is no mint mark on the coin on the scale. You are weighing a different coin.

    Well I don't believe anybody has been sarcastic yet, but it's obvious that the OP took a picture of the coin with the scale 3 feet away.and the other two pics where close up and cut and cropped, So what's a person to think.JMO

    The coin on the scale is a 1980. So why would you put a 1980 coin on the scale and ask about 1983?
