    Hello,

I can not find any information on this coin at all. I have all the paperwork with it and everything. It is a limited print of 1,000 and its .999 silver. (the number 48 is stamped on the back to show what number of 1,000 it is)

It is a 1983 STS 7 - 1st woman in space coin of Sally ride. it says "John F. Kennedy space center" on the back with a big NASA logo. On the front is has an ingraving of sally ride and the challenger, with the names "Crippen, Hauck, Ride, Fabian, Thagard" on the bottom.

Any information or how I might go about finding information out would be great!

    thanks,
    Derium

ps. The coin is still in its case and has no blemmishes or fingerprints at all.

Howdy Derium - Welcome to the Forum !!

Sounds like what you have there is not a coin really - it's known as a silver round. They are made by private companies and sold to commemorate certain events some times - some times just because they are pretty and people like to collect them. Silver rounds like the one you describe typically sell for about $10.
