Die cracks and a die chip not a cud.
    Nice but really no premium.

There is a difference between a chip that forms on the edge of a crack and a cud which is a die break along the rim that extends into the field. Tell your collector friend to stay in "school" and stop teaching.

By the way, your photos are too small to judge if there actually is a crack and how far it extends across the coin. All I can see is someone with a shaky hand trying to put on their lipstick.

Don't use the "Thumbnail". Use the "Full Image".

A Cud must touch the rim as in this example: IMG_2898.JPG
This is a large cud but it should give you the idea. Your coin has Die cracks and a die chip. It also has circulation damage but it's still a nice example.

    Welcome to CT.
