1983 Cent Error

    why does this 1983 cent have a Y in the left column I believe
    and Lincolns legs are there but the rest of his body is missing?

    The Y is from a die clash. The die has also been heavily abraded, removing most of Lincoln in the memorial. Very common for the given date and typically not worth much of a premium.
