The 1982 "No FG" is more common than the 1972 specimen, but I'm curious about the marks on the lower side of the eagle's leg feathers where the initials are supposed to be. According to James Wiles, there are die clash marks known on some of these and it is listed in CONECA's, The Kennedy Half Dollar Book, as ADR-002. ~ Chris
Fairly common but that raised metal on the Eagles leg looks to be a small but nice die clash. Nice to have, great to find but you're not gonna get rich off of it.
Interesting. I never would have seen that! I was more wondering if I was seeming remnants of the top of the fg or not, but the di clash is welcome.
