1982d small date

I have found this nice little gem I think it's a nice coin for a small date zinc what do you Guy's think off it.

I can't really find nothing wrong with this coin don't really see no scratches one it it's a nice color I figure it might go to a 62 or close on grade. I just found a another 1982 d large date really nice coin it's got that rich looking red color I like when they look like that I think their nice coins nice good strikes on it the letters and numbers just pop out at you it's a nice coin with no scratches on it eather.

 

I'm going to ask a question since I'm on here is it all right to put nice and the better wheat Penny's in little plastic bags to I can get some 2x2 I just don't won't to hurt some off these wheat s cent's I got I have a bunch I just found a 1919 s cent coin but you probably would not be able to see the s on the coin I have to look really hard to see it and it in my hand with a 5x lens it's about gone but it ant a bad coin it's just bad old.

 

Putting the coin in a bag for a shot time won't hurt it, but if it's in there for too long it won't look very nice anymore - pvc is bad for coins, and is found in most plastics. So put it in a 2X2 as soon as possible. And I'd say that coin is a MS63 or so, but sending it in is just a waste of money. Costs more than it's worth to send it in.

 

Thanks for the like I've found some nice coins in the last couple days and people say you can't find nice finds I will prove theme wrong. You should see the wheat Penny's I have found and most are s cent's I am loving this folk's sorry I might not every hit any thing like it a again. But I'm great full for what I done I started this ride 6 months ago didn't have one wheat Penny now I have 150 or more that is a low guess and most are s Penny's at that I done had most of the p and d coins I have really on my way off building a heck off a collection and I have 2or3 off the same this k some are in better shape I don't want to sound like I'm all that just a country boy with a new hobby and I'm having fun so I will tell the world I don't care what anybody thinks when you have a hobby you post to in joy that is what the Hunt is all about and have the right attitude and a lot of patience I've went for days one roll after another and of find nothing but junk.But that is what makes the Hunt so real folks I will give the new people that is on this site don't get you're self down every day the sun don't come out but when the sun Doe's come out it's a nice day same way with coins let me Tell you new people their are coins out their still today that people been looking for for years and can't find all off them their is no way as big off country we live in their is no way they have took all the good coins out I don't believe that I just found 3 roll's off dates from 1909 too 58 any coin you won't their is just a couple so far that ant been in it I think a1926 s I've not seen one yet but I'm still got 20 or 30 in a bag to look at you never know.

 

Yeah I don't want to send it in I'm in to collecting coins that are least a60 or better in grade trying to make a nice Lincoln collection every coin all the off them or how many they might be so I'm a little more into to this coin thing I won't nothing but the best in mint shape plus I look for the errors on coins to I love the errors coins some people don't even mess with the error coins but that is what I'm on the Hunt for the biggest and best errors you can fine I love it I have a few error coins got one off a old wheat Penny I think it's a s Penny it has die chips on the left wheat stalk really nice coin I found a crack going from the body to the rim.Pretty good crack has to be worth a little bit I'm hanging on to it .Most people don't collect like I do if I fine one with a small crack or a large crack.

 

Very nice couple of days!! Great finds with the LWCs and now a couple nice LMCs. You should tally up the finds from this hunt and post them. Folks enjoy seeing the details and the pics of the fun finds.

 

I'm wanting to I just don't want people think I'm bragging about this last to day Hunt and I'm still going just a little bit ago a Buddy off mine and had probably had about 6doallars worth off cent's I looked at theme just look down in the bag and pulled out a nice 1945p this coin is in nice shape it has a little bit of red in it their is way more red then brown I've got to get this thing put up in a nice save place. Back the what we was talking about I am thinking about showing them at least a bunch off them any way I guess it don't matter what people think and how they approach their coins but when I make a fine I love showing theme. It's not all about me I am not that normal coin collector I take pride in my Hunt I have a lot of time in my coins I think this is a hobby Yeah with the right coins you could make some money but that all cool what I like to do is show people that their still out their fine 2 different types off 1909 coins I'm sure you would be happy if you found 0ver a hundred off them and 90 percent are s Penny's I'm still finding theme today I'm down to about 15 left.

 

Why do you think PVC is found in most plastics? How about PET?

Shoot I have all most all my coins in plastic but I didn't no it can make you're coins turn different color did you no that Kentucky.

 

PVC is found in most plastics. But PET is found in many as well. I know PVC can hurt coins, but I'm not sure about PET.

 

I believe that what causes the discoloration to the coin is the out gassing/leaching of the plasticizers in PVC. To make PVC as flexible, plasticizers are added. PET(E) does not get the plasticizer therefor remains more rigid. This is why the Medical Device world moved away from PVC, since you don't want what is leached entering your body (cannula and other medical tubing used it). And it is harmful to coins.

 

All you have to remember is no PVC is good. Most manufacturers post NON-PVC on the package. Proof read your post and use spell check, it will help get your point across. Good luck

Keep them in your old moon shine jars. No PVC, problems solved.
