I received this as change today. There is a layer of peeling lamination that is folded back above LIBERTY. I also see tiny bubbles in this layer I can see several misplaced letters in various places. What other errors do you guys see? Which type of 1982D is this? Should I store it in a plastic sleeve? Is it worth more than face value? Any and all comments are appreciated! I hope the pictures do it justice!
Should give further clarification...it looks like two cents were glued together and one was separated, leaving the glue layer on the other one. The Memorial looks like it is indented.
Oh. Okay. I sure was excited about some glue! Hahaha! I protected that coin all day! I’m going to change my cointalk identity now. ☺️
Elmers glue. reverse of another cent glued on to it. Separated to leave it's image print behind. Remember 99.9% of everything you'll see is damage of some type, like this. Learn to identify damage and how the minting process works and you'll be so far ahead in learning and searching for real errors, or maybe you'll learn just to enjoy the coins.
Nah, I just made a couple of posts I would like to retract or pretend I never made, but people on here are really forgiving as long as you're not too hardheaded.
I couldn’t help but to laugh at myself. I couldn’t wait to get home and show you guys! Thank you all for being so kind and helpful!
