1982 zinc Penny

    Hey this penny is at 2.50 gm weight there is also a lot of blisters on it, one other thing i noticed is in the pillar to the right of Lincoln has either lamination error or blister as well and 2 pillars to the left. I also am unsure of the black lines on the one side

    ... now find the opposite, a 1983 in bronze, THEN we can talk. ;)

    The piece you photoed APPEARS to have been subjected to heat- house fire, maybe, or even a propane torch. Hard to say exactly what.

    As I recall they had some issues with the early plated zinc cents in 1982 and even 1983. I don't see anything outside of this here.
