1982 whats up with the 2

    hi guys

    do you think there is anything special with this coin i focused on the 2 is it doubled?

    No question that it is doubled, the question is what kind of doubling. As I understand it (possibly incorrectly, but I try) the kind of doubling that is collectible is die doubling. Other kinds that are encountered are machine doubling (MD) and die deterioration doubling (DDD). I think you will get some opinions here. I THINK this is MD.

    IMO it appears to be a plating blister not Doubling but what do I no. Lol

    Plating issue.. Not a Doubled Die Variety

    Either plating issue, which I doubt, or Die deterioration doubling. Not MD

    Is this a Zincoln? zinc based cent. If so I think a plating issue.
    If it's a copper cent, then MD
    would be my guess(es).

    That looks like a zinc cent to me (...they just have that "look" to them...), so I would say that it is DDD, not MD.
